OSX 는 포멧을 자주 해줘야 하는 운영체제가 아니다.
1년 2년씩 포멧 없이 그냥 쓰시는 분들도 많다.
윈도우와 다르게 각각의 프로그램들이 시스템에 영향을 끼치지 않는다.
관리라고 해봐야, 권한복구 정도만 꾸준히 해주면 사용하는데 문제가 생기지 않는다.
나는 시스템파일 만드는 걸 좋아하고, 이것저것 건들여 본다.
덕분에 부팅이 안 된적도 많고 ㅎㅎ
개인적인 이유로 (혼자서 깔끔떠는 미췬 성격??) 포멧을 자주 하게 되는데
DVD를 통해서 OSX를 재설치 하면 한시간은 걸리더라.
SuperDuper(줄여서 SD) 를 이용해서 포멧하고 재설치를 하면 15분 걸린다.
맥을 싸악 포멧 해준 뒤에 -> OSX 설치를 해주고 -> 업데이트를 해준다윈도우의 고스트처럼 포멧 후에 예전에 깨끗하게 깔아 둔 OSX 로 복구만 하면 된다!
-> 가장 기본적인 프로그램과 몇가지 셋팅을 해준 뒤에
-> SD를 이용해서 그 상태 그대로를 외장하드에 백업해 둔다.
SuperDuper1 은 기능제한이 있는 상용프로그램 입니다. 27.95$ 에 판매되네요.
비슷한 프로그램으로 Carbon Copy Cloner(프리웨어)2 이 있습니다.

Carbon Copy Cloner... In its simplest form, CCC will clone one hard drive to another, copying every single block or file to create an exact replica of your source hard drive. This is very useful if, for example, your laptop is damaged and you must send it in for repair.
CCC can also be used to perform regular backups of your data. When you select a source disk in CCC, you are presented with the contents of that disk (hidden items too). Simply uncheck the items that you do not want to backup, and CCC will provide ample indication what will and will not be copied. Select a target disk to which you would like to backup, then press the clone button.
The key to a successful backup plan is to actually do the backups regularly. When left to a human, the task often gets tacked on to the end of a very long list of other things to do. '자동화' 를 이용한다면 클릭 몇번이면 맥OS를 최적화 할 수 있습니다.
특히 권한복구는 시간 날 때 마다 해주는 게 좋습니다. 저는 1~2주에 한번씩 합니다.
처음 맥을 쓸 때 권한복구를 몰라서 포멧을 자주 했었습니다.
권한문제가 생기면 이상한 현상이 발생하는데 몇가지 예를 들면
- 파일이 이동되지 않고 복사만 된다.
- 파일 복사나 이동이 되지 않는다.
- 덕에 있는 아이콘을 뺄 수도 없고 추가할 수도 없다
- 파일이나 폴더이름을 변경 할 수 없다.
Onyx 라는 프로그램은 꼭 설치하시고
주기적으로 '자동화'를 해준다면 진정한 맥라이프에 한발 더 다가갈 수 있습니다.
